“If our actions imply that we are not worthy, the Universe will listen. The people we allow in our lives to abuse us, the constant worry that we will not have enough, selling our peace of mind for a dollar, being the less of our own truth so that others feel the more of themselves, putting everything else before own wellbeing, living someone else’s idea of what our life should be…these sort of infractions to our spirit can say to the Universe, “I am not worthy of happiness, so I am allowing myself to become a victim of life.” As these impediments impede your spirit…the Universe will listen and this will become your life. The life you should feel worthy of is waiting for your ..................

“The crime of complacency is punishable with a self-imposed imprisonment of quiet desperation for too many years to life. You hold the key.  If you can’t change your circumstance, change how you react to it or feel about it.  Set yourself free.”   ~ ctate

"We should live every day as if those we love are terminally ill and may be the last day on Earth that we have with them. That way we do not have to ever worry about things left undone. It is not good to live in the darkness of possible future pain and miss the light within the truth of our present." ~ ctate

Caves seem to give off the most other worldly feeling when you enter them.  One will almost immediately have a sense that there is “something else” with them after they enter into the darkness of the cool caverns.

I know, for myself, that a cave is one of the few places on earth I feel uneasy entering alone.  Even if there are others spelunking about, I like to have someone with me whom I am personally acquainted with; someone who has my back, because I will inevitably get an eerie sense that some unidentifiable something or other is pacing itself deliberately behind me.

Spelunking: the sport meant to bring out the paranoia in all of us. It’s the next best thing to watching ...

2012, the Year of Coming Home

In the last few years, amongst all of the romantic strife counseling that seems prevalently sought among people seeking counsel and advice, I have found that many people are now also a bit caught up in 12/12 fever.  December 21, 2012 is the date that many prophets and ancient civilizations have foreseen or calculated to be “the end of the world”.

I profess to be no prophet about this circumstance, simply because it’s something that is not within anyone’s realm of certainty. The only thing I am certain of is that it’s not about the world being destroyed physically that is of concern, but how we react to the changes taking place in the world ...

"People wonder why they cannot  seem to find their soul mate.  Perhaps it’s because they do not find attractive the one who feeds their soul, but are inclined to desire the one who feeds their ego."  ~  ctate

ANGEL WINGS

The heavens hold the magic that will heal some people say.

When things get really bad even the atheists start to pray.

If you look closely up in the skies you’ll find angels flying around.

Lately I’ve heard the sound of their wings as they hit the ground.

People are looking up, but no one’s looking within.

That’s the only place where we can really all begin.

There are sermons being screamed and secrets being sold.

There’s lots of money to be made if you’re willing to sell your soul.

Everyone’s listening to all the harsh words being spoken.

No one’s talking about all the ............

Perhaps the truth of someone knowing themselves on the deepest level  of consciousness comes when a person stops trying to place themselves in a category such as Liberal, Conservative, rich, poor, pretty, average, fat, thin, tall, short, Prophet, Teacher, Preacher, Mathematician, Magician…Butcher, Baker, Candlestick Maker or Indian Chief and realizes who they are as a whole individual being without comparison to other beings; when it becomes amazing, enough and prideful for one to simply say…“I am.” ~ Carolyn Tate

In a nearby country town hardly big enough to elicit a dot on a Rand McNally map, an ominous man walked into the only bank within a ten mile radius.  A hood over his head hid his identity, but the large gun in his hand was evidence of his ill intent.  Like something from a B-movie, he shouted, “Everyone get down!” and pointedly swung his gun around the room.  Fear coursing through their veins, the men and women unluckily fated to be customers doing their banking right at that very moment obediently hit the cold slabs of the bank’s tiled floor.

One banking client didn’t get down fast enough.  He was an older man with slower joints and jilted movements. The hooded bandit had no .........

The bombing in Norway, Amy Winehouse's death, and the self-absorbed indecisiveness of our politicians are true tragedies playing out in the world right now. I feel sad that the world seems to not only want to destroy others, but individually often chooses to destroy their own lives.

We are the holders of the cards of our lives and how we play them will often determine how life plays out. What we do to ourselves and others...how we perceive and touch the world affects the all.  One soul touches another...which touches another, and another…on and on.  Our individual and group daily decisions, even in the least of things, affect the whole Universe. For in the smaller acts the larger ......
